NCP decides govt should settle border row with India thru talks

KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has decided that the government should hold talks with India to regain encroached lands.

The meeting held on Friday congratulated the government for taking steps to return the encroached lands, said NCP Spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha after the meeting.

“The party has concluded that a solution should be sought with India through diplomatic channels,” Shrestha said.

The government had issued a new updated map of Nepal after India issued a political map covering the Kalapani region.
