5-magnitude quake jolts eastern Nepal



KATHMANDU:  A 5-magnitude earthquake has rocked the eastern Nepal on Friday morning.

According to National Seismological Center, Lainchaur, the tremor was recorded at 9:30 am with its epicenter at Bahundangi in Jhapa district.

The tremors were felt in eastern districts including Ilam, Jhapa and Panchthar.

Human casualties and the properties damaged by the earthquake are yet to be reported.

Earlier, a 4-magnitude earthquake had struck on September 9 with its epicenter in Dhading.
