33 including 29 NA personnel test COVID-19 positive in Dang

DANG: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 33 people including 29 Nepal Army (NA) personnel in Dang district.

A PCR test conducted at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj on Tuesday found the pandemic virus in the personnel at NA’s 19th Brigade in Tulsipur.

According to Bimal KC, Public Health Officer of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolis, the infection was confirmed in the course of the contact tracing.

Earlier, an army man from Pyuthan who had stayed at the Brigade on his way to Nepalgunj had tested positive for the coronavirus.

Similarly, the infection has been confirmed in four persons in Shantinagar and Babai Rural Municipalities.

The tests confirmed the infection in a 26-year-old man and a 33-year-old man of Babai-4 and a 30-year-old woman of Shantinagar-7.
