Relief materials dispatched for Jajarkot landslide victims



SURKHET: A helicopter of Nepal Army (NA) carrying relief materials has left for Barekot of Jajarkot district from Surkhet, the capital of Karnali State, it has been said.

The relief materials would be distributed to the families of those who have been killed and missing in a landslide at Barekot rural municipality-4, said Krishna Bahadur Rokaya, information officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law of the state.

Five people were killed and five others are missing when a landslip swept away two houses in the area.

The relief materials to be distributed to the victims of the landslide include 25 tents, 25 blankets, three sacks full beaten rice, 180 packets noodles and 50 kilograms rice, he said.
