Three persons succumb to COVID-19, Nepal’s death toll hits 38



KATHMANDU: Nepal has reported three deaths from coronavirus in the past 24 hours taking the toll from the pandemic to 38.

Speaking at a press meet on Saturday afternoon, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that two men from Katmandu and one from Sidhuplachowk succumbed to coronavirus.

According to Spokesperson Dr. Gautam, a 54-year-old man from Gokarna in Kathmandu who died in the course of treatment at Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Likewise, a 45-year-old man from Sidhuplachowk died at the Patan Hospital on Friday while undergoing treatment for a kidney ailment.

Similarly, a 60-year-old man from Sankhamul in Kathmandu died while undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital on Friday, said Spokesperson Dr. Gautam.
