Woman arrested with 80 kg marijuana in Hetauda



HETAUDA: Police have arrested a woman with 80 kg of marijuana hidden in her house in Makwanpur.

A team of police from Area Police Office Manahari under District Police Office, Makwanpur has recovered cannabis hidden in a room of Phulmaya Tamang of Manahari-6.

A police team led by Inspector Sreesankar Shrestha arrested the woman last night.

According to the Makwanpur Police, investigation and prosecution have been started under the Narcotics Control Act, 2033 BS.

Under the act, there is a legal provision of imprisonment for two to 10 years and a fine of Rs 15,000 to Rs 100,000.
