COVID-19: State-2 govt to provide Rs 5 million in relief to victim families



JANAKPURDHAM: The State-2 government says it will provide relief amount of Rs 5 million to the families of the victims losing lives in course of fulfilling their duties during the fight against COVID-19.

A meeting of Council of Ministers held on Friday decided to provide relief amount to victim families of those such as civil servants, private sector health workers, ambulance drivers and assistant workers deputed in the rescue and treatment of coronavirus infected people as well as in its prevention and control, said Spokesperson and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Gyanendra Kumar Yadav.

Likewise, the meeting decided that the state government would pay four-month interests of loan taken by farmers from banks, financial institutions.

The state government will also provide additional relief to farmers involved in fruits, milk, vegetables, fisheries and poultry production.
