KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a person on charges of fleecing foreign job aspirants from Lokanthali in Bhaktapur district.

Bal Krishna Karki of Solukhumbu district has been accused of swindling foreign employment aspirants by promising them jobs in the Maldives and Qatar, according to Senior Superintendent of Police Sahakul Bahadur Thapa.

A team from the Metropolitan Crime Division (MCD) arrested Karki acting on a complaint filed by the victims.

Karki has been handed to the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu for further investigations, police said.
