KATHMANDU: High Court, Tulsipur has issued a controversial verdict ruling that that security personnel will be penalized for arresting criminals.

Hearing the case related to a habeas corpus, a joint bench of Judges Shesha Raj Shiwakoti and Dipendra Bahadur Bam issued this verdict incriminating police for arresting an absconding convict.

Advocate Arjun Bahadur Karki, who had been sentenced to three years in jail along with a fine of Rs 8 million on the charge of committing banking offence, had gone into hiding immediately after the verdict.
