RPP leader Lingden airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment



KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader and lawmaker Rajendra Lingden has been airlifted to Kathmandu by a Nepal Army helicopter after falling ill.

He had been undergoing treatment in the ICU of B&C Hospital in Jhapa since December 7 due to respiratory problems.

The hospital said he has pneumonia.

He had undergone a PCR test for the coronavirus on Wednesday, but the report was negative despite symptoms similar to the pandemic.
