TAPLEJUNG: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai had assured of taking initiatives to establish cardamom processing centers at the local level.
Taplejung being a cardamom-yielding district in comparison to other adjoining districts, the establishment of a processing center there would benefit the people of the district, Minister Bhattarai said.
He also said that the federal government would pay attention for the establishment of the center as the processed cardamom has a good scope for both marketing and employment generation.
Cardamom farming has also been done in all other areas apart from Olangchungola. However, the farmers have been hit hard for not getting appropriate price.
