Four including three from Banke die due to COVID-19 infection

KATHMANDU: Four people including three from Banke district have died from COVID-19 infection in the country in the past 24 hours.

Of the deceased, two are from Bardiya and one each from Dang and Chitwan.

A 29-year-old man of Thakurdwara municipality-2, Bardiya died in the course of treatment at Nepal Medical College Teaching Hospital Kohalpur.

He had been hospitalized on November 8 and passed away on Monday afternoon. His PCR report came out positive at 6 pm yesterday.

Similarly, a 35-year-old man of Bansgadhi municipality-8 died in the course of treatment at Western Hospital, Nepalgunj.

The patient, who had been hospitalized on November 8, tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday evening and died on the same day, said Naresh Shrestha, the focal person of Banke.

Likewise, a 64-year-old man of Ghorahi Sub Metropolitan City-15, Dang died in the course of treatment at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj.

He was hospitalized on Monday and died at 9:30 pm. His report came out positive at 10 pm.

Similarly, a 77-year-old man has passed away in the course of treatment at New Medical College. Originally from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-19, the septuagenarian died in the course of treatment on Monday night.

The elderly, who tested positive for COVID-19 on November 7, had been suffering from pneumonia, diabetes and high blood pressure.
