Province 2 records 63 fresh cases, 84 recoveries



JANAKPURDHAM: The coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 63 more people in Province 2 on Saturday.

A total of 63 people, including ten women and 53 men, were diagnosed with the infection at Gaur Hospital, Rautahat, Provincial Public Health Laboratory, Janakpur, and Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital, Birgunj, said Vijay Jha, Acting Director, Health Directorate, Province 2.

The highest number of infections has been confirmed in 33 people in Parsa district.

Similarly, the infection was confirmed in seven people in Rautahat and six in Siraha, five in Dhanusha, four in Bara, and two in Mahottari, said Director Jha.

Meanwhile, a total of 84 people, including 81 men and three women, have returned home on Saturday.

With this, the number of recoveries has reached 11,784. Of them, 10,188 are men, and 1,596 are women.
