COVID-19 claims four in Banke, Dang and Rupandehi



KATHMANDU: Four more people have died from coronavirus in the course of treatment in Banke, Dang and Rupandehi districts.

A coronavirus-infected person has died in the course of treatment at Bheri Hospital in Banke district.

According to a press note issued by the hospital, a 38-year-old man of Kohalpur municipality-9 died at 11 pm on Friday.

The patient who had been admitted to Kohalpur Medical College was referred to Bheri Hospital on September 29.

He died soon after he was admitted to Bheri Hospital, said hospital sources.

Similarly, a 15-year-old male of Ghorahi Sub Metropolitan City-3, Dang also passed away in the course of treatment.

The patient who was admitted to Kohalpur Teaching Hospital passed away on Friday night.

With this, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 24 in Banke while those who came to this district for treatment and died in the course of treatment are 12.

Likewise, a 57-year-old man of Shuddhodhan rural municipality has died in the course of treatment at Butwal COVID Special Hospital in Rupandehi district.

The patient who died who was admitted to the hospital on October 5 succumbed to the virus on Friday afternoon, informed Bishnu Gautam, the information officer of the hospital.

With this, the number of deaths from the COVID-19 has reached 34.

Similarly, a 79-year-old man of Butwal Sub Metropolitan City-10 died of coronavirus in the course of treatment at 7 am today.

According to Dr Sudharshan Thapa, the focal person of Butwal COVID Special Hospital,  the septuagenarian had tested positive for coronavirus on September 26.

He was being treated on ventilator since the last 13 days. He was also suffering from kidney ailment and pneumonia.

With this, the number of deaths from COVID-19 has reached 27 in Rupandehi.
