Coronavirus cases surpass 1,300-mark in Tokha municipality



KATHMANDU: The number of coronavirus cases has crossed 1,300 in Tokha municipality.

With 66 new cases in the municipality on Friday, the number of COVID-19 cases has reached 1,301, said the health division of the municipality.

Ward no. 1 has the lowest 28 cases while the highest number of cases is in ward no. 8. There are 11 wards in the municipality.

Among those infected, 736 are males and 565 are females.

A total of 807 have recovered from the virus so far. Currently, 489 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals and home isolations while 22 are out of contact, said Bachchu Raj Basyal, the spokesperson of the municipality.

Likewise, five have died from the coronavirus in Tokha municipality.
