Education Ministry allows private schools to collect fees for online classes



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Education has paved the way for private schools to charge fees for online classes conducted during lockdown.

In a notice, the Ministry has allowed school operators to collect fees for virtual classes.

School organizations, PABSON and N-PABSAN, had been demanding that they allowed to collect fee from the students.

Education Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel made the decision to allow the private schools to collect the fees for the online classes.

Likewise, the Ministry has also issued a learning facilitation guideline saying that the schools can collect fees as per the standard set by the respective local governments.
