11 persons of a same family test positive for COVID-19 in Jhapa



JHAPA: 11 members of a same family have been infected from COVID-19 living in Kankai Municipality-3 of Jhapa.

This is probably the first time in Jhapa that so many members of the same family have been confirmed as corona, Mayor Rajendra Pokharel said.

According to Mayor Pokharel, the 14-year-old grandson and the 84-year-old grandmother have been tested positive for pandemic virus.

Among the infected persons, nine are home-isolated, one is in BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan and another is in isolation center in Ilam Municipality, said Pokharel.

“Everyone’s condition is normal,” he said.

The Kankai Municipality has delivered food items to the home-isolated people after everyone in the house contracted infection from the virus. Ma
