NCP likely to endorse MCC Compact with amendments



KATHMANDU: Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Prime Minister KP Oli have put forth a proposal to endorse the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact making necessary amendments on it.

Dahal and Oli are set to table the proposal at the Standing Committee meeting on Friday.

This was decided at a meeting held between Prime Minister Oli and Dahal on Wednesday.

“The MCC can be endorsed by making necessary amendments in some of the points,” sources said.

The ruling NCP is yet to endorse the MCC Compact owing to internal differences.
