Lightning kills one, hurts two in Baglung



BAGLUNG:  A man has died after being struck by lightning in Tarakhola rural municipality in Baglung district.

The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Bhim Bahadur Basnet of Tarakhola rural municipality-3, Philmire.

Basnet died on the spot after the lightning struck him while he was sleeping in his house on Wednesday night, said Sub Inspector Yuba Raj Salami of Area Police Office, Tarakhola.

Similarly, Suresh Thapa, 32, of Philmire and Dhruba Kandel of Barahkhola sustained injuries in the incident.

The injured are undergoing treatment at a local clinic while the deceased has been taken to Primary Health Center, Harichaur for postmortem, informed police.
