Heavy rains in Kailali and Kanchanpur; downpour to subside gradually



KATHMANDU: With the monsoon getting intense, the rain is occurring in various parts of the country on Monday.

According to a notice issued by Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) this morning, heavy rainfall has occurred in Kailali and Kanchanpur.

With the heavy downpour, the water level in the rivulets including Chaudhar, Suheli, Mohana, Khutiya, Kandra have gone up in the districts.

The locals living along the banks of Narayani, Tinau, Pashchim Rapti, Karnali and Mahakali rivers have been advised to take precaution.

MFD has predicted that the rains will gradually subside from today.

With the low pressure monsoon trough locating in the southern part of Nepal, the light to moderate rains are occurring in some places of all the provinces.

Similarly, weather will be generally cloudy through the country with chances of rains with thunderstorms this afternoon.

This kind of weather will continue tonight with the chances of rains and thunderstorms, according to MFD.
