Squash Coach Hira Thapa tests positive for COVID-19



KATHMANDU: Nepal Squash Association Vice President Manoj Bahadur Shrestha and Squash Coach Hira Thapa have tested positive for coronavirus.

Thapa who was staying at Squash Academy in Satdobato had undergone testing after Vice President Shrestha was diagnosed with the virus.

Originally from Gorkha, Thapa is self-isolating in a room of Squash Academy after his swab test report came out positive on Sunday.

Taking to Khabarhub Thapa said, “Eight to nine including myself underwent coronavirus testing after the vice president contracted COVID-19.  My report came out positive.”

Most of the people infected with coronavirus in Nepal do not show symptoms. Thapa had also undergone coronavirus testing without symptoms.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway to conduct coronavirus testing on the family members of Thapa on Monday.
