Alleged rapist arrested



KAPILVASTU: A youth who was on the run after allegedly raping a girl on April 15 has been arrested. Sakil Ali Seif, 21, of Shivaraj municipality-8 has been arrested by police on the charging of raping the girl from the same municipality.

Acting on a tip-off, Seif was arrested from Pathardehiya in ward no. 3 of Bijayanagar rural municipality-3, said police inspector at the Ward Police Office, Chaundrauta Dipesh Kharel.

Earlier, a woman accused of helping the accused abet the heinous act was released on a bail of 50,000 rupees by the District Court.
