KATHMANDU: The Gurmu City of neighboring China has donated medical appliances worth Rs 1.1 million to Bharatpur Metropolitan City to help its fight against COVID-19.
After receiving the supplies and handing over to the goods section of the metropolis amid a function at Miteri bridge at Tatopani, the bordering area between Nepal and China, the metropolis mayor Renu Dahal directed best use of the appliances.
The donated appliances included 10,000 pieces surgical masks, 960 pieces N95 masks, 120 sets personal protective equipment and 120 pieces thermal guns.
On the occasion, mayor Dahal thanked chief and residents of the Gurmu City for this help. Sister city relations have been established between the metropolis and Gurmu city.
Present on the occasion were also representatives of the Gurmu city of China. On the occasion, the Chinese representatives expressed happiness on behalf of the residents of the city for this assistance and expressed the hope that such assistance and cooperation between the two countries would continue in the days to come.
