DHANGADI: Karnali Province’s legislation and state affairs committee has directed the state government to scrap the order on formation of tourism board.

The committee meeting held on Wednesday concluded that the State Council of Ministers formed the board without constitutional and legal liability over it and hence directed for the repeal.

Committee chairperson Padam Rokaya said the order was not based on any law brought by the State Assembly. So, the government was directed to cancel the order on formation of the tourism board.

Earlier, the committee members had questioned Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, Nanda Singh Budha, on which ground the order was given for the formation of the board.
