Planes carrying repatriated Nepalis should land at TIA by 3 pm

KATHMANDU: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has decided that planes carrying repatriated Nepalis from abroad should land at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) by 3 PM.

According to Rajan Pokharel, Director-General at CAAN, this decision has made as it would be easier for the Nepalis to be taken to the holding centers and quarantine facilities.

So far, as many as 169 Nepalis have returned from the United Arab Emirates, 26 from Myanmar and 11 from Australia.

The schedule has been fixed as some previous flights which landed at night created difficulty for the management of those rescued from abroad.
