BIRGUNJ: Police have confiscated around 56 kilograms of marijuana being smuggled using an ambulance in Birgunj.

Acting on a tip-off, the police team confiscated the marijuana being smuggled in the ambulance bearing registration number Na 4 Cha 8599 belonging to Alpine Medical College Teaching Hospital, Simara of Bara.

Police have arrested three persons travelling on the ambulance.

They have been taken to the District Police Office.

The marijuana was being taken to Bauratar, Bahadurmai municipality-5 of Parsa, police said.
