COVID-19 cases reach 18 in Pyuthan



KATHMANDU: The number of coronavirus cases has reached 18 in Pyuthan after the district reported six new cases on Tuesday.

According to Bishal Subedi, chief of District Health Office, Pyuthan, five people from Mandabi rural municipality and one from Airawati rural municipality tested positive for the coronavirus.

They all are males. The new cases were confirmed after their swab results came out to be positive at Provincial Hospital Bhairahawa.

They had recently returned from India.

Earlier, two people from Mandabi rural municipality, eight from Pyuthan municipality, one each from Sarumarani rural municipality and Sworgadwari municipality had been diagnosed with the COVID-19.
