300 Nepalis arriving Nepal from Kuwait today



KATHMANDU: Around 300 Nepali people are arriving in Nepal from Kuwait on Wednesday.

The Kuwait government is bringing Nepali migrant workers on two chartered flights with 150 on each today.

According to Nepali Ambassador to Kuwait Durga Bhandari, there are around 3,000 Nepalis who have received amnesty from the Kuwait government.

“Around 150 women will come back to Nepal in the first chartered flight today,” said Ambassador Bhandari.

According to COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC), among those arriving on the first chartered flight are 61 from Pradesh 1, nine from Pradesh 2, 80 from Bagmati Pradesh.

Similarly, those coming on the second chartered flight are 57 from Pradesh 1, one from Pradesh 2, 26 from Bagmati Pradesh, nine from Gandki Pradesh, 45 from Pradesh 5, 10 from Karnali Pradesh and two from Sudurpashchim Pradesh.

Besides those receiving amnesty, there are around 5,000 other Nepali people willing to come back to Nepal, Bhandari added.

Earlier, the UAE and Myanmar governments had brought 168 and 26 Nepalis to Nepal, respectively, on Friday.
