Nepal unmoved in latest FIFA rankings

KATHMANDU: Nepal has its position unchanged in the football rankings unveiled by the world football governing body, FIFA today. The new ranking shows Nepal remaining in the same 170th position that it was in the previous ranking.

In terms of the FIFA ranking, Nepal is third among the South Asian countries. India and the Maldives are ahead of Nepal at 108th and 155th positions respectively. Nepal is ahead of Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the region.

Bangladesh stands in the 187th, Bhutan in the 189th, Pakistan in 200 and Sri Lanka in the 206th position.

Belgium leads the ranking followed by France in the second position. Brazil follows in the third while England and Uruguay are in the fourth and fifth positions respectively.
