25 detained in Kathmandu for Holi hooliganism

KATHMANDU: A total of 25 persons have been detained from various places of Kathmandu till Monday afternoon for hooliganism during Holi, the festival of colors.

According to Kathmandu Police, among those arrested are 22 men and three women.

Kathmandu Police Spokesperson DSP Hobindra Bogati said they have been kept at different police circles and sectors in Maharajgunj, Balaju and Kalimati among others.

Likewise, 52 two-wheelers and one car have been impounded for violating traffic rules.

No arrest has been so far made in Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts.
