KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has requested the government to evacuate Nepalis from China’s Hubei at the soonest.

“The Commission requests the government to create an environment for their safe evacuation, given that their lives can be at risk,” the commission said in a statement issued on Sunday.

The constitutional commission stated that it has also decided to summon Foreign and Health Secretaries to take information on what the ministries have been doing to evacuate Nepalis.

Some 180 Nepalis in China’s province reeling under the epidemic of coronavirus have appealed before the Nepali Embassy in Beijing for their safe evacuation.
