Poudel accuses govt of deviating from principle of equality

CHITWAN: Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel has accused the government of deviating from the principle of equality.

Speaking at a press meet here today, the major opposition party leader alleged the government of being biased, forgetting that all people are equal.

A bill was likely to be introduced not allowing the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) to investigate in government decisions and it was guided by ill-intention which would weaken democracy, he added.

On a different note, the NC leader said the ideological clash existing within the party had been resolved to some extent.

He went on to say that he was always for an end to malpractices within the party.

He spoke the need for promoting good governance, transparency and smooth management at the party. “Politics should be established as a well-honored arena,” leader Poudel stressed.
