2 buildings vacated for Nepalis from China at Kharipati

BHAKTAPUR: Two buildings of Nepal Electricity Authority based at Kharipati have been emptied for the Nepalis being airlifted from coronavirus-hit Wuhan City of China.

The building to the south of NEA at Kharipati which was being used for the department of environment and social studies and the hostel building have been vacated.

“Two buildings have been vacated for the Nepali evacuees from China,” said Keshav Raj Oli, deputy director of NEA, Kharipati.

According to NEA, preparations are being made to quarantine 124 Nepalis from China at Kharipati.

The death toll from the novel coronavirus has surged to 803 in mainland China and Hong Kong as of Sunday morning.
