Dahal, Nepal agree to pave way for NA member becoming PM

KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior leader Madhav Nepal have agreed on an issue that would pave the way for a member of the National Assembly (NA) to become prime minister.

The leaders made the agreement on Thursday as party’s senior leader Bamdev Gautam has earlier refused the contest for the NA seat if he would not get the premiership.

Party sources said that NCP senior leader Nepal organized the meeting at Gautam’s residence at Bhaisepati.

According to the source, Prime Minister KP Oli, too, has given a nod for the same.
