Sandeep Lamichhane promotes VN 2020 in Australia

KATHMANDU: Nepali leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is competing in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) from Melbourne Stars.

In a match played against Sydney Thunder on Wednesday, Sandeep failed to take any wicket giving away 39 runs in the allocated four overs.

He, however, drew attention by shoes he was wearing. One shoe had a message of Visit Nepal 2020 and another had applauded those deployed to contain bushfire in Australia.

Nepal is marking 2020 as Visit Nepal 2020 with the ambitious campaign to attract two million tourists. On the other hand, Australia is going through the worst bushfire.
