Fire guts property worth Rs 1.3 million



PHIDIM: Properties worth Rs 1.3 million were reduced to ashes as a fire broke at the district headquarters Phidim in Panchthar district.

The fire broke out at Somnath Dhakal’s house based at Phidim-4, Gadhi on Tuesday evening apparently due to short-circuit.

Utensils, clothes and other cash and jewelries were destroyed in the fire, said District Police Office, Panchthar.

The fire was brought under control by security personnel with the help of a fire engine and locals.
