Teenager dead in leopard attack in Baitadi



BAITADI: Just a day after a boy died in a leopard attack in the neighboring district, an 18-year-old girl was killed in a similar incident at Bagar in Shivanath Rural Municipality-4, Baitadi.

Chairman of the rural municipality Karna Singh Saud said that the girl had gone to Marmagad area of Dadeldhura district to collect green fodder when she was attacked by a leopard.

Earlier on Sunday, Dil Bahadur Saud, 13, son of Krishna Saud of Bhageshwor Rural Municipality-1 was killed in the elephant attack when the boy was playing at the house yard of his uncle.

Officials said that the police personnel from both Baitadi and Dadeldhura districts have already been deployed to the incident side.

So far, the man-eater leopard has reportedly taken the lives of 27 people in the lower Sorod area.
