NEPSE index up by 4.22 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased by 4.22 points on Monday to reach 1652.80. The Sensitive Index, however, fell 0.61 points to 325.33.

A total of 135,000 shares of 195 companies were traded at a turnover of Rs 3.69 billion today.

The sub-index of banking fell by 11.52 points, hotel by 4.1 points, development bank by 15.26 points, hydropower by 15.23 points, life insurance by 17.19 points, and sub-index of mutual fund by 0.04 points.

The trade sub-index rose by 58.8 points, finance by 0.92 points, non-life insurance by 65.85 points, manufacturing by 26.68 points, others by 46.64 points, and microfinance by 31.62 points.
