Kathmandu Valley sees 1,428 fresh COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 1,428 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population,  1,136 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 91 in Bhaktapur and 201 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, as many as 2,571 people were diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 has reached 197,024 with fresh cases as of Monday afternoon.

A total of 11,177 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

A total of 1,798 individuals were discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 159,724 in the country.

Nepal currently has 36,174 active cases.

Likewise, 967 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 18 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1126, the Ministry confirmed.
