Province 1 sees record-high 485 cases, 113 discharged today

BIRATNAGAR: Province 1 sees record-high 485 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry for Social Development of Province 1, the Province saw 220 COVID-19 cases in Morang, 143 in Sunsari, 33 in Jhapa, 10 in Ilam, and 7 in Dhankuta.

Likewise, to make the record-high case in the province in 24 hours, the province saw 6 coronavirus cases in Sankhuwasabha, 5 in Udayapur, 4 each in Bhojpur, and Taplejung, 2 in Khotang, 1 each in Tehrathum and Okhaldhunga, and 39 in the swabs from outside the province.

With Friday’s case, the province case tally has reached 9,341 today.

Similarly, the province saw 113 cases discharged after recovery on Friday.

According to the Ministry, all discharged cases of today are from home isolation.

The province has got 4,774 discharged till date.

The province had executed the PCR test of 2,443 cases on Friday out of which 149 females and 336 males tested positive today.

A total of 134,773 people have got their swabs tested in Province 1 so far.
