Septuagenarian succumbs to coronavirus in Banke

BANKE: A septuagenarian woman has succumbed to coronavirus in Banke on Sunday afternoon.

A patient of pneumonia, the 70-year-old woman was admitted to the Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur.

Assistant Chief District Officer of Banke Dirgha Raj Upadhyaya confirmed the death of the woman, a resident of Kohalpur Municipality-2.

Her swab was collected on Friday and her report had come out positive.

Banke has so far report two COVID-19 deaths – a 25-year-old youth and a 46-year-old woman.

With this, there have been three coronavirus-related deaths in the district.
