Kathmandu Valley witnesses 92 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 92 persons in the Kathmandu Valley have been infected with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Speaking at the regular press briefing on Sunday, Dr Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed 92 new cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu Valley today.

A total of 8,515 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, he said.

Of the 92 newly identified cases of virus infection, 90 were detected in Kathmandu and two in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile in Nepal, a total of 380 people were diagnosed with the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population confirmed.

With this, the COVID-19 caseload has risen to 22,972.
