Girl who died after denied admission to hospitals tests COVID-19 positive

BIRGUNJ: A 20-year-old girl from Parsa who was denied admission to different hospitals has tested positive for coronavirus.

A test conducted at the laboratory of Narayani Hospital in Birgunj on Saturday confirmed the coronavirus infection.

Chief Medical Superintendent of Narayani Hospital, Dr. Madan Upadhyaya, said that the test report of the girl from Birgunj Metropolitan City-2, Chhapkaiya was positive.

Seven different hospitals had denied admission to the girl after she had symptoms similar to COVID-19. The girl was finally admitted to Gandak Hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead soon after her admission on Friday night.
