Suitcase with headless body found in Gongabu



KATHMANDU: A suitcase containing a headless body has been found at Ganeshsthan in Gongabu on Sunday morning.

The law enforcement agency located the head of the man some 300 meters from the place the suitcase was found.

Police said that the identification of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

According to the preliminary investigation, a 40-45 years old man was brutally killed last night using a sharp weapon and thrown in the suitcase.

The body has been sent to TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj for postmortem.

The locals had informed the police after seeing blood flowing from the suitcase placed on the road.

A team of high-ranking police officers and forensic doctors working in the Kathmandu Valley have inspected the site.

Security personnel have been deployed to cordon off the area.
