Peace, security are precondition to development: Home Minister Thapa



KATHMANDU: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa while extending congratulations to newly appointed Inspector General of Nepal Police (IGP) Shailesh Thapa Chhetri, believed that peace and security would be further strengthened during his tenure.

Speaking in a programme organized to congratulate the new IGP at the Home Ministry today, Minister Thapa directed IGP Thapa Chhetri to complete police adjustment process following federal structure and laws.

“State has prioritized development and prosperity therefore pay special attention to them,” the Minister for Home Affairs said.

Likewise, secretary at the Ministry, Maheshwar Dahal directed new IGP to work in team spirit. Similarly, IGP Thapa Chhetri committed to work being honest and dutiful.
