COVID-19 cases jump to 144 in Gandaki Pradesh



KATHMANDU: Twenty-four new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Gandaki Pradesh on Tuesday morning.

With this, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 144 in the province, confirmed the Ministry of Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh.

According to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Social Development, the newly infected are 12 from Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), 11 from Baglung and one from Myagdi district.

The 12 new cases confirmed at Baudikali rural municipality, Nawalparasi are males aged between 18 to 40, said Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Social Development.

Similarly, eight people from Bareng rural municipality and three from Nishikhola rural municipality of Baglung district have tested positive for the coronavirus.

The other infected is 46-year-old man from Beni municipality of Myagdi district, according to the press note.
