COVID-19 death toll in Brazil climbs to 9, 146



KATHMANDU: Brazil has witnessed a surge in the deaths of people from Coronavirus of late. According to Worldometer, the death toll has reached 9, 146 after 558 died in the last 24 hours.

With 8, 495 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 135, 106 as of Friday  morning.

Currently, 70, 610 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8, 318 are critical. Meanwhile, 55, 350 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 212 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 270,352 and infecting 3,912,425 people as of Friday morning.
