437 undergo coronavirus test in Nepal, reports of five awaited



KATHMANDU: A total of 437 persons have undergone swab tests for coronavirus in Nepal, till date. The list includes 175 Nepalis evacuated from Wuhan, China.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, out of them, one person who had returned from China was diagnosed positive for the deadly virus and was recovered following the treatment.

Spokesperson at the Ministry Bikash Devkota said that no new cases have been reported after that.

Still, five persons have been kept at the isolation of the Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital in suspicion of contracting coronavirus.

Their test reports are yet to come, Devkota said.

He said some one-two persons have been visiting the hospital daily for coronavirus test.
