Himalayan Sherpa stuns Chyasal Youth, swipes away 3-2 win

KATHMANDU: Himalayan Sherpa Club (HSC) registered second win of the Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League.

HSC defeated CYC 3-2 Chyasal Youth Club (CYC)  in the 11th round of Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League on Saturday.

Though the formations of both teams seemed a bit scattered in the beginning, HSC was able to take a lead in the 28th minute of the game. Bijay Shrestha opened up the scoreline. Later, right after his goal, Tridev Gurung scored a wonderful left-footed volley to make it two for HSC.

The two goals margin didn’t stand for long as Hayato Wakino (CYC) fired a shot past the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the game.

After the interval, the lads of both teams were able to create plenty of chances. Bijay Shrestha (HSC) found his second goal in the 51st minute of the game.

Hayato Wakino (CYC) scored on the 89th minute of the game to make a close call on the score sheet. With this win, HSC climbed to 11th place on the table whereas CYC remains on the 10th.

Ulrich Siwe from HSC was adjudged with the man of the match award for his heroic performance.
