23 more succumb to coronavirus in Nepal; death toll reaches 1,637



KATHMANDU: As many as 23 COVID-19 patients succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deaths have taken the country’s death toll from the coronavirus to 1,637 as of Tuesday afternoon.

Meanwhile,  total of 1,382 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 243,377 with fresh cases as of Tuesday afternoon.

A total of 1,621 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 229,054 in the country.

Nepal currently has 12,686 active cases.

Likewise, 523 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.
